In real-life, Jason Alexander is the 50-year old actor who is most famous for his role on Seinfeld. You couldn't help but feel better about yourself as you watched the never ending saga of the chubby and challenged George Costanza. Do you remember the episode with the classic scene where George was actually eating out of a trash can as only he could do?

Today, Jason Alexander is trashing his fat clothes and is putting his personal weight problems behind him as the new star pitch man for Jenny Craig. Around the Super Bowl, Alexander signed on to join Valerie Bertinelli as an on-camera spokesperson for the popular weight loss chain. He was looking as we were used to seeing him, not looking very good at all. But that's a good thing if you are jumping into the weight loss business.

Standing just five-foot five inches tall, he tipped the scales around 200 pounds. Those statistics had him fit for the category of clinically obese. Now he's reported to be down around the area of 170 pounds. That's a pretty balanced weight loss in a period of just more than four months. It's hard to call a short, overweight, 50-year old balding man a stud. So, let's just say he is looking a whole lot better and healthier. 

Perhaps his role as Jenny Craig's new celebrity success story will help Jason Alexander as a human being and an actor. It puts him back in the public eye. And it's much healthier for him than when he did television commercials for KFC and snack foods.
