Today we mere mortals were joined by three reasonably well known actors - Stephen Graham (This is England,Snatch), Maxine Peak (Dinner Ladies, Shameless) and Ruth Jones (Little Britain, Gavin & Stacy). Believe it or not they actually have a runner to bring them teas, coffees, sandwiches etc. They even pre- order their lucnches so they are at the front of the queue!!  I don't know what happens to you when you become an actor that you are no longer able to get/make you own hot drinks!!! They even need a car to take them the 200 metres/yards to from the unit base to the set!!!

Bitter - not me!!

We had a later start today but that is no consolation as was up at more or less the same time and will have a late finish.

Managed to persuade some council workers not to dig directly outside the church where we were filming - they wanted to use a jack hammer for a few hours. It would, as you can imagine been pretty difficult to film with that going on. They are due back tomorrow, thankfully we will be elsewhere.

Spent the next two days on the street, neither were too bad in terms of local disruption considering where we were. It must be me but with living in a rural area I was amazed at how many police, ambulance and fire sirens you hear being inside a City.

We were supposed to finish today but ran out of light so are coming back Sunday - we were due to be at he Manchester Royal Infirmary in the morning so that has had to be pushed back to the afternoon.

I won't be there, 'cos as mentioned will be doing the fit up for Oldham Coliseum on Sunday - long day again but it keeps the wolf from the doors especially in this economic climate.

Seems on Monday we will be in Hyde filming an armed robbery in a disused bookies - should be interesting will let you know.

I am currently a Theatre Stage Manager /Company Manager/Tour Manager with ambitions to move into television and am making contacts in that world with the hope of becoming a Locations Assistant and ultimately a Locations Manager. I have just got my first placement through Northwest Vision & Media as a Locations Assistant working on a drama called The Street for the next 2 weeks.

I am the Chairman of Saddleworth Round Table, we raise in excess of £20000 for Charity through one of our events called The Beerwalk. This event is held in and around the villages of Saddleworth. If you have never taken part in this then you are really missing out on what is one of the major events of the summer - go on on take a look.

I live with my wonderful partner Adele (who also works in theatre/ television as a Costume Supervisor), who by the way is as mad as cheese. She also runs an Entertainment Agency and has recently provided all the entertainment for Oldham Council's Christmas programme 2008/9.

We have two dogs Emma and her puppy Teddy (she had 7 last year) and now one cat - Banana- I know!! as sadly our other cat Daisy recently has to be put to sleep (cancer of the kidneys).

We are also blessed with being the God parents of two wonderful children Sam & Annie, the offspring of two of our very closest friends.
