If you are interested in starting a series that's less heavy than the Wire, shows like Curb Your Enthusiasm and East Bound and Down on the premium channels are funny and entertaining series to watch. Larry David, the creator of Seinfeld, stars in and directs Curb. Its shot semi-documentary style and the characters in the show are given generally story lines and character outlines, but are allowed to ad-lib and sort of make up the show as they go.
